About this tool

Scanned documents come back in the wrong order surprisingly often, and a merged document sometimes needs its sections rearranged. This tool shows the pages as thumbnails and lets you move them around.

Pages can be dragged, and each one also has arrow buttons, so the tool works with a keyboard and with assistive technology rather than requiring a mouse.

How to use it

  1. Choose a .pdf file. Page previews appear below.
  2. Drag a page to a new position, or use its arrow buttons to move it one step at a time.
  3. Select Convert, then download the reordered document.

Limitations

  • Every page is kept. Use the delete tool to remove pages, and the split tool to extract a range.
  • Form fields, signatures, bookmarks, and internal links are not preserved. Internal links would point at the wrong pages after reordering in any case.
  • Password-protected documents cannot be opened.
  • Previews are not rendered automatically for documents over 60 pages. Reordering still works, but the thumbnails are placeholders unless you ask for them.

Is my document uploaded?
No. The reorder runs entirely in your browser. The document never leaves your device.
Can I reorder without a mouse?
Yes. Every page has arrow buttons that move it one position at a time, and they are reachable with the keyboard. Dragging is an alternative, not a requirement.
Does the output match what I see?
Yes. The document is built from the pages in exactly the order shown in the grid, and each thumbnail is labelled with its position and its original page number.
How do I start over?
Select Reset order to put the pages back in their original sequence.
