About this tool

Scans, receipts, and photographed documents arrive as a pile of separate images, and almost everyone who has to receive them would rather have one PDF. This tool combines PNG and JPEG images into a single document, one image per page.

Images are centred on the page and never enlarged beyond their own pixel size, so a small scan stays sharp instead of being blown up and blurred.

How to use it

  1. Choose the images. They are added in the order they appear in the list.
  2. Name the document, and choose a page size and margin.
  3. Select Convert, then download the .pdf file.

Limitations

  • Only PNG and JPEG are supported, because those are the two formats a PDF can embed directly. Convert other formats first.
  • Pages are not reorderable here. Choose the files in the order you want, or reorder the finished document with the reorder tool.
  • The images are embedded as-is, so a large photo produces a large PDF. Compress or resize first if size matters.
  • No text layer is produced. The result is a document of pictures, so its text cannot be searched or selected. Recognising text would need OCR, which is out of scope.
  • Every image is held in memory while the document is built, so a long run of large photos can exhaust a phone.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?
No. The document is built entirely in your browser. The images never leave your device and no request carrying them is made.
Can I search the text in the PDF?
No. Each page is a picture of your image, so there is no text to search. That would require optical character recognition, which this site does not do.
Why is my image not filling the page?
Images are never scaled up past their own pixel size, because enlarging them only makes them blurry. Choose a smaller page size, or fit the page to the image, if you want it to fill the sheet.
How do I change the page order?
Choose the files in the order you want them, or build the document and then use the reorder tool.
